Diamond Jubilee Celebrations

Friday 1st June Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

To celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee the staff and children all came to school dressed in red, white and blue.  The day commenced with an assembly to celebrate the reign of Queen Elizabeth where the children sang Land of Hope and Glory, Jerusalem and ended with the National Anthem.  The day continued with lots of events from creating a jubilee plate to decorating biscuits.  After a big picnic lunch the children were joined by their parents as traditional summer fayre games were played in the playground.

“I love days like this at school” Ella Wellsman.

“We’ve made the biggest biscuit flag in our class” Aaron Boparai

With many local and national events over the next few days I hope that all the children are now in good jubilee spirits.  Mrs Campbell, Head Teacher
