Year 5 Visit to Epping Forest Conservation Centre

On Wednesday 26th September, Year 5 went on a school trip to Epping Forest Conservation Centre.  We took part in lots of fun activities including map reading, compass problem solving and building a shelter in the forest.  At first we were put into groups for a map challenge where we had to find hidden letters to make a word.  Afterwards we found out how to use a compass to direct us through the forest.  After lunch each group became a tribe and built a shelter out of logs.  We all had a fantastic time!
