On Tuesday, 4th December we held our annual Carols by Candlelight service. For the first time in many years we returned to All Saints Church for this celebration. This larger venue enabled the many parents, staff and friends to join together and enjoy the Christmas music in comfortable surroundings.
The children from Years 2-6 had worked very hard for several weeks, learning new songs that helped to tell the Christmas story.
Sasha Reynolds, Eleana Kumana and Emma Mall sang solos which were tunefully supported by members of the school. Readings and poems read by children and staff linked the singing and congregational carols. The evening really helped to get us all in the Christmas mood especially as we were able to spend time together afterwards chatting over a glass of mulled wine in The Atrium. The church made us feel very welcome and we are grateful for their support in arranging this event.
A retiring offering was taken at the end of the service and I would like to thank everyone who supported this I am pleased to be sending Haven House Children’s Hospice a Christmas gift of £330.
