On Tuesday 29th January, Year 4 at Avon House independent school, visited the Swaminarayan Mandir Temple in Neasden. Hinduism is one of the religions studied in Year 4 and we were very fortunate to be given the opportunity to visit this most beautiful example of Indian culture and architecture.
The children showed a great interest in everything they saw and heard. They agreed that it had been an enriching experience and several children felt that it had also been spiritually uplifting.
Once again, Year 4 were a pleasure to be with on a trip. They were a credit to the school and our guide Smita was impressed not only by their behaviour, but also by their intelligent questioning.
