Choir Strikes Right Chord at Music Festival

The Avon House School Choir won their class at the Stratford Music Festival on Monday, 11th February.

The choir performed two contrasting pieces, ‘It’s Good To Be Me’ and ‘Hey, Mister Miller’ and took first place in their class winning the trophy for two-part singing.

Their music teacher, Dee Wright, said: “I was so proud of all the pupils and compliment them on their hard work and dedication.”

The competition involved four other schools and was held at St Mary’s Church, South Woodford.
