Year 6 World War II history experience

On Friday 8th March, Year 6 were joined by Bill from Crew Schools for an interactive World War II history experience.  Bill dressed as a home front soldier and spoke about many of the events that happened during the Second World War such as the air raids.   The children also dressed up and handled artefacts from this period of history, all of which has helped to enrich their learning on what can often be a very difficult subject.

“We thoroughly enjoyed acting out the job roles of men and women during the war and had fun learning the dance to the Lambeth walk song.”
