Red Nose Day 2013

On Friday, 15th March the pupils and staff at Avon House supported Red Nose Day 2013 by wearing red noses and red accessories.  At morning break each child was given a jam doughnut to eat as a treat.

Foundation 2 took the project to heart and decided to get family and friends to sponsor them to “Promise to do something or give up something”.   They led our morning assembly with a clear and concise message to “Do something funny for money” and reminded us how lucky we were to have clean water and the opportunity to go to school.  After assembly they invited their parents to visit their classroom to see all the activities they had been doing this term.  Foundation 2 raised £598 with their sponsored event.

In total the school raised £983 which will be sent to Red Nose Day 2013.
