Early Friday morning, children at Avon House arrived for school with their dads – not to be dropped off for the school day but to have breakfast.
To celebrate Father’s Day on Sunday, 17th June, the Pre-Prep pupils invited their dads to “A butty and a brew”. Croissants, juice, bacon rolls and coffee were all on the menu as the school hall filled with hungry Dads. Several asked if this could become a regular Friday morning feature and Mrs Campbell said it could if they would volunteer to come in and cook the bacon as she and the staff had been cooking since 7.00 am!
A great time was had by all who attended – another good way for different parts of the school community to spend time together.
