This academic year, Avon House entered Years 5 & 6 into the national Primary Maths Challenge for the first time.
It was a difficult paper, which challenged the children’s mathematical thinking. Over 79,000 pupils in 2,035 schools entered the competition in November, and 1,184 pupils who scored 21 or more were invited to take part in the Bonus Round in February.
Only 540 medals were awarded in the country and we are extremely pleased for Ananya (Year 6) who achieved a silver medal in the Primary Maths Challenge Bonus Round. An excellent accomplishment!
