On Tuesday, 10th November, Year 5 visited the Ragged School Museum to support their learning on the Victorian Era. We dressed up as ragged school children and were excited to go back in time to see what Victorian school might be like.
Our teacher was very strict and we were not allowed to talk unless we were spoken to. We had to write on slate boards which was tricky (especially for the left handed children who had to write with their right hand). After the lesson, we explored a Victorian kitchen and handled objects from the period.
We had a fantastic day, but we definitely prefer our school lessons to those in Victorian times!
