On Friday 10th June, the Pre-Prep Department had a special themed day to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday! All the children came in wearing red, white and blue. The children worked in mixed aged groups between the four classes from Foundation One to Year Two and rotated around six activities.
It was a wonderful day where the children learnt about Queen Elizabeth II and learnt a special birthday song for the Queen. They enjoyed engaging in the different activities including making a royal family tree, decorating cakes, making royal guards and decorating crowns. They also made their own birthday cards to be sent to the Queen. The children worked well in their mixed aged groups to support each other in developing a range of different skills and enjoyed having a picnic lunch altogether.
