Year 2 visit the Tower of London

On Wednesday, 16th March Year 2 visited the Tower of London as a finale to their topic on London.  The children travelled by tube to Tower Hill and then walked to the Tower of London, where they started to spot some of the famous London landmarks that they have been learning about, including Tower Bridge, the Gherkin and the Shard. Sport Relief

Children across the school have been busy doing their bit to raise money for Sport Relief. On Thursday, many pupils in the Prep took part in a swimathon challenge at Loughton Pool against the teachers.  The children were able to apply all they have learned in their weekly swimming lessons, leaving many staff struggling to keep up! Learn Pad Club

In Learn Pad club this term, the Prep children have enjoyed learning about different applications.  This week they tried out the new 3D glasses which proved to be very exciting. They explored a 3D image based on Charlie & the Chocolate Factory.  The children have had the opportunity to create their own animations and write their own short story using Learn Pad software.  Continue reading

Mother’s Day Tea

On Monday, 7th March, we celebrated Mother’s Day with a special performance for our mummies in the hall to say thank you to them. We sang two Mother’s Day songs we learnt especially for the day and recited a poem as well.  The whole of the Pre-Prep from Foundation 1 to Year 2 did the performance, so we had loads of mums at school!
