On Tuesday, 19th April, Year 2 started their summer term topic with a big WoW event. This term Year 2 are exploring the Tudors.

Foundation 2 has been transformed into a space station for the summer term.
The children experienced their space station role play area for the first time today, and had great fun pretending to be astronauts flying into outer space. We learnt about what it’s like to be an astronaut in space, how they sleep, eat and move around. We also watched a space shuttle launch and discussed how we would feel if we were going to space. Foundation 1 enjoyed their WOW day to introduce the topic of ‘Dinosaurs’
The children took part in a dinosaur hunt around school and were delighted to find dinosaurs and thrilled to be using their own camera to capture this experience. Back in the classroom the children became palaeontologists, finding dinosaurs in fossilized and frozen eggs, as well as searching for dinosaur bones in the sand. Continue reading
