On Tuesday 29th January, Year 4 at Avon House independent school, visited the Swaminarayan Mandir Temple in Neasden. Hinduism is one of the religions studied in Year 4 and we were very fortunate to be given the opportunity to visit this most beautiful example of Indian culture and architecture.
On Tuesday, 22nd January, our swimming squad took part in the Forest School swimming gala. We started by warming up in the pool and then the races began. We came 8th overall out of 11 schools. A special mention to Ella Wellsman (Year 3) who swam butterfly competing against Year 6 children. Haimish won a gold medal for the 25m front crawl.
On Wednesday, 23rd January Helen Cray from the Redbridge Travel Plan came to visit Year 1 and Year 2 students at our independent school, to give a talk about road safety. She involved the children in acting out some scenarios to help understand the need to be safe on the roads and pavements. Continue reading
The Early Years Foundation Stage at Avon House independent school presented their annual nativity today and performed to parents and invited members of the local community.

On Thursday, 15th November the Avon House swimming team took part in the Redbridge Swimming Gala at Fullwell Cross. We were absolutely delighted to come 4th overall, particularly as we were competing against some far larger schools. Continue reading
