Yesterday we visited the British Museum to learn more about the Mayans and the Aztecs and to see some of the artefacts we have been studying in our history lessons in real life! We were surprised at how beautiful the turquoise mosaics looked. Room 27 was freezing and dark (to preserve the exhibits) but packed full of incredible Aztec culture. We also went to a fascinating workshop that taught us a lot about the way the Aztecs behaved and how interested they were in blood!

‘It was a really fun trip and there was a lot to look at, to read and do’ George
