Christingle at All Saints’ Church

Posted: 9th December 2020

On Monday 7th December, the Pre-Prep department had their annual Christingle service at All Saints’ Church. We had two services this year to ensure the children were kept in their ‘bubbles’ and adhered to Covid guidance. It was a wonderful morning where the children listened to the Christmas story and sung some Christmas hymns. Our Foundation Two children performed one of the songs from their nativity and we had a special treat from Foundation One who finished off the Early Years’ service with singing ‘We wish you a Merry Christmas!’ During the Key Stage One service, the children from Year Two led the Christingle prayers. Using a giant Christingle, the children learnt the meaning behind why we have Christingles at Christmas, before each child constructed their own . These were lit and everyone joined in to sing a final song to complete the celebration. We would like to give thanks to All Saints’ Church for letting us hold this event.
