St Aubyn’s School hosted a football tournament on Thursday. Avon House were drawn in a challenging group against high-level opponents. The boys lost games against Chigwell, St Aubyn’s A and Keble, and failed to hold on to a 1-0 lead against St Aubyn’s B, drawing the game, 1-1. It came down to goal difference for the final plate spot, and Avon House missed out by a single goal. A frustrating day for the boys, but lessons learnt for the future.
