Pirates v Mermaids

Posted: 7th March 2024

On Wednesday 6th March, the Year 2 children performed their production of Pirates vs Mermaids to their parents, having already performed to the school on Monday. It was a big undertaking, with lots of lines and fast-paced songs to learn! The children were so committed to their role and loved playing pirates and mermaids. They worked very hard to learn their parts and listened well to teachers’ direction. All of their hard work was worth it; parents, staff and children alike really enjoyed seeing the pirates’ rivalry with the mermaids, their need to learn to swim to pass their ARRR-Levels at Me Hearty Highschool and their adventure to find the mermaid caves, before becoming friends with the mermaids after a splashy pool party and a swashbuckling graduation ceremony. Well done to everyone involved!
