Puffins had so much fun on our first train and bus journey together this week. After walking down to Woodford Station in small groups on Monday and Tuesday, we had an exciting time meeting the station staff, checking our route on the tube map, spotting the station roundels and getting on a train to Loughton. While on the train, we kept track of all the exciting views and objects on the journey between the stations. We practised recognising numbers until we saw the big red number 20 bus which gave the children a birds eye view from the top deck. After being so excited about this we used buses in Maths to work out number bonds to 5. We placed some children on the bus and some waiting at the bus stop and matched to the correct number sentence. We are looking forward to showing you our short assembly on Monday morning!
