Avon House cut the ribbon on the school’s Little Free Library community book sharing program. Mrs Campbell and Chair of Governors Mrs Macnair, together with two pupils, did the honour of opening the library to the public which they hope will engage children within the local area to read more to encourage good reading habits and in turn improve literacy. Children can visit the library at any time and choose a book that they like. Mrs Mistry, our specialist art teacher cleverly designed the Little Free Library by incorporating book titles within the artwork. Starting a Little Free Library is a wonderful way to give back to the community and put a smile on the children’s face. For the library’s location check the Little Free Library map on their website https://littlefreelibrary.org/
