The children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, experiencing both child and adult led activities in a nurturing, appealing and well-resourced environment. The children are inspired to learn both indoors and outdoors, where they have their own dedicated bespoke outdoor learning space. We ensure each child’s needs are supported with stimulating activities that encourage a love of learning and enable them to thrive.
In the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum there are seven areas of learning which include three prime and four specific areas: –
Prime Areas:
- Communication & Language
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Physical Development
Specific Areas:
- Mathematics
- Literacy
- Expressive Arts and Design
- Understanding the World
Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum is rich, broad and exciting. The children follow a topic-based approach, where topics are aligned with the children’s interests to inspire their imagination. The children have a ‘wow’ day to immerse them into each new topic and their experiences are enriched through educational visits and workshops, as well as themed days. Our dedicated team carefully plan a wide range of activities that link to the topic and allow each child to reach their full potential. In addition, we enhance the children’s experiences through a range of other lessons, some taught by specialist teachers, including Spanish, ICT, Music, Dance and PE lessons.
