School Counsellor

The School Counsellor offers weekly, individual, therapeutic sessions for children to explore worries relating to their emotional well-being. The aim of counselling is to help the child resolve or manage their worries more easily.

The work supports the building of resilience, developing coping strategies, strengthening relationships and enhancing confidence and self-esteem. A safe space is provided to enable the child to communicate through talking, play and creative work.

For a referral to the School Counsellor, parents can speak to their Class Teacher or the School’s Inclusion Lead. Once a request is received, parents are offered a consultation. There is a cost for this service.
