Week eight of the summer term saw the whole school coming together for art workshops and raising money for ELHAP, the Pankhurst House charity of 2026.
Every child designed and created their own unique feather, decorating it with colourful artwork for the younger years and positive messages for the older, with their hopes for the future and words of inspiration for the academic year ahead.
Each feather reflected the personality and imagination of the artist, resulting in a fantastic collection of vibrant designs and thoughtful messages.
The individual feathers were then carefully assembled to create a magnificent pair of giant swan wings ready for Avon House pupils to pose by as they fly into next year.
Pupils were also invited to wear their own clothes in a colour that makes them happy for the day, and Pankhurst have sold pupil printed and painted tote bags and zipper pouches before and after school this week.
Every member of the Avon House school community plays an important part in helping one another succeed and as we look ahead to the 2026–2027 academic year, the swan wings represent our shared aspirations, encouraging everyone to spread their wings, embrace new challenges and soar to new heights.
Well done Avon House, with your support Pankhurst have raised an amazing £391.18p for ELHAP!
