Girls of the Prep attended an opening fixture of the Women’s Super League on Sunday 1st October – Arsenal Women v Liverpool Women. Played at Emirates Stadium, the match was a record attendance for the WSL at 54,115. This eclipsed the previous record of last season’s Arsenal Women against Tottenham Women, of which the school attended as well. Despite Arsenal have the majority of possession of the ball, and a number of chances to score, it was Liverpool that ran-out 1-0 winners. The girls very much enjoyed the experience in what was a celebration of women’s football and how it continues to grow and gain more popularity in the UK.
