On Thursday 29th February, Avon House hosted the ISA London North Tag Rugby tournament at The Woodford Wells Club. A total of sixteen teams entered from across the region and Avon House had two teams that participated on the day. Both teams did extremely well in the group stages, progressing to the knockout stages of the main draw. This set up a quarter-final match between Avon House 1 and Avon House 2. In what was a close encounter throughout, Avon House 1 won 10 tries to 7. The team went on to narrowly missed out on reaching the final of the tournament, after a golden try defeat in extra-time to Howe Green. However, the team, captained by Isaac (6NH) bounced back in the their next match to claim third place overall. All children should be proud of the skills they demonstrated as well as the resilience they showed playing in wet and windy conditions.
