Avon House School was filled with community spirit this week as pupils, staff, and families came together for a special Charity Knitted Toy Sale. The beautiful handmade toys were lovingly crafted and donated by an 83-year-old local resident. This talented and generous lady is the mother of one of our valued kitchen staff members, and her creativity and kindness shone through in every stitch.
The school was delighted by the enthusiasm and support shown by everyone who attended. All money raised from the sale will be donated directly to Haven House Children’s Hospice in Loughton, an organisation that provides vital care and support to seriously ill children and their families.
The sale was a wonderful reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together, combining compassion, creativity, and a shared commitment to helping others. Avon House School extends heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to making the sale such a success.
