International Day of People with Disabilities Assembly

Posted: 5th December 2025

International Disability Day promotes equality and raises awareness around disabilities and occurs on the 3rd December every year.  During the assembly we talked about what it means to have a disibility.  We looked at the different types of disabilities  – both visible and invisible.  Despite having a disability, individuals can achieve great things, and we looked at some famous people to illustrate this point, including Stevie Wonder.  The main message delivered in the assembly was that all children and adults with disabilities want to be treated with respect and to have the same opportunities as everyone else.
