Avon House celebrated Vaisakhi with a day of learning, celebration, and community spirit. The event began with a whole-school assembly led by parents and pupils, who shared the meaning of Vaisakhi. We were delighted to welcome guest speaker Mr Uptej Singh, whose insights deepened pupils’ understanding of the festival’s significance in Sikh history.
Pupils also enjoyed archery workshops organised by parents, adding a fun and interactive element to the day. As part of the celebrations, families donated food parcels to a local food bank, led by our Diversity Council, helping pupils appreciate the importance of kindness and giving.
Events like this reflect Avon House’s commitment to an inclusive environment where diversity is celebrated and pupils are encouraged to learn, share, and make a positive difference.
