On Wednesday 3rd October, 5 boys and 5 girls from Years 5 and 6 travelled to Fairlop Waters to participate in the Redbridge Primary LYG Selection & Team Event Run. The children ran 1600 metres around Fairlop lake along with competitors from 7 others schools. The girls raced first and achieved some amazing results with Eva (5AM) finishing first overall, Lacey (6HD) finishing 2nd and Rebecca (6HD) finishing 4th out of all the Year 6 girls. The boys also ran extremely well with Oskar finishing 4th overall. The whole team performed well and we are hopeful that a couple of the Year 6 children will now be invited to compete in the London North Youth Cross Country event taking place on 20th November 2021.
