Year 2
In Year Two the children continue to build on the skills they have developed in Year One, thriving as confident and successful learners in our supportive and nurturing learning environment both inside and outside of the classroom.
Our carefully planned creative curriculum allows the children to be inspired as they engage with new topics and further educational visits to enhance their learning experience. The children are introduced to Reasoning lessons to support them with the foundation of these skills. Drama is an exciting addition to the timetable to aid the children in preparing for their class production. They also continue to enjoy an extensive range of co-curricular clubs to foster their emerging talents.
Their level of independence flourishes throughout the year and is thoughtfully encouraged by the teaching teams, with the summer term being a transition term to prepare the children to start Key Stage Two. In addition, the children experience a day in Year Three to ensure every child finishes Year Two ‘Prep School ready’ and full of eagerness and anticipation to start their learning journey in Key Stage Two in our excellent Prep School.
