Clementine Hunter

To end our Art’s Week, our School Hall was awash with colour today as we proudly displayed all of the children’s contributions. All year groups participated in Arts Week, including our youngest Puffins who carefully painted individual portraits and created a collective flower vase collage inspired by her paintings and our Year 2’s who embraced Arts Week by creating their own cotton-picking scene inspired by Clementine Hunter’s work of cotton plantations. They painted the background, tore coloured paper to make cotton pickers and used cotton wool to make cotton plants. The children have really enjoyed celebrating Clementine Hunter and we’re sure that you’ll agree, they have impressed us all with their extensive artistic skills!
