Pupils attended a Twenty20 cricket fixture at Lord’s Cricket Ground between Middlesex and Sussex on Thursday 8th June. Mr Phillips, Mr Thornley, Mrs Campbell and Miss Neal travelled with the children via tube to the prestigious venue in what was a close encounter. Sussex took the victory by four runs, with a standout performance from Ravi Bopara. The children were inspired watching professional cricket being played. Middlesex also provided pupils with the opportunity of playing various cricket-inspired games, which was enjoyed by all. Because of the children’s performances and how they conducted themselves, the school received a cricket helmet signed by England batsman, Mark Stoneman.
