Remembrance Assembly

Posted: 11th November 2024

students on remembrance day

Year 5JB led the whole school on a soldier’s journey and why we wear a poppy as an important symbol, as we came together for our Remembrance Day service at All Saints Church on Monday.  Singing three hymns – Lord for the Years, We Will Remember and Flanders Field. Listening to two original poetry pieces from a Year 4, ‘Hope Has Risen’ and a Year 6, ‘I, the Poppy’ and a moving violin performance, had us thinking about the contributions, bravery and sacrifice of service personnel over the years. Thank you Year 5JB for such a thoughtful and moving assembly and to Mrs Mistry for our wonderful collaborative poppy presentation outside school.
