It was a pleasure to welcome Mr Dickinson, Head of Lower School, and Ms Evans, Director of Marketing and Admissions from Bancroft’s School for an evening of critical thinking and information for secondary school transition last night with our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils and parents. Mr Dickinson and Ms Evans shared the extensive opportunities that Bancroft’s offers and how children are supported with the school, particularly in those first few weeks of Year 7.
We also welcomed back an Avon House alumni, who is now in Year 7 to share her thoughts and perspective of how Bancroft’s is different and similar to Avon House. She explained her new education experience and how her learning journey foundation from Avon House has equipped her in her new school life.
The event finished with questions from both pupils and parents around mobile use, homework assignments, the Bancroft House system, the interview process for admissions, lunches and more. We hope that this was an informative evening for all, and enabled a more informed choice to be made about the next step in our pupils’ schooling journey.
