UNCRC Article 12 says children have the human right to have their own opinions and for these opinions to be heard and taken seriously – at Avon House we agree wholeheartedly with this. Pupils from Y1 to Year 6 have the chance to create their own manifestos over the holidays and present to their class to stand for RRS, School, Diversity, Sports or Sustainability Council where they can make their voice heard across the school and in our wider community. Once all the ballots were cast, several members of Year 6 generously gave their lunchtime to organise and count every important vote. Results will be announced next week!
