As part of their “play every sport at the Wells tour” the Sports Council used a lunchtime to try their hand at short mat bowls. Under the watchful coaching of the Wells club captain they soon found out what a difficult and skillful game it was! Zariyan in Year 5 said “I did get better the more bowls I had”. While Benjy in Year 2 said “it’s really difficult!” As a token of appreciation for their time the Sports Council presented their bowls coaches with a bottle of wine each. Next stop on the sporting tour is Petanque!
