The Sustainability Council gave an entertaining update in assembly on Friday of all the things they have been busy with over the last 2 months!

  • We collected 6.5kiograms of rubbish during our Litter Pick at lunchtime
  • We have already collected 800 batteries for recycling this year (a school record) and have bought a battery recycling tube to be kept in the School Office
  • We are registered for The Big Plastic Count which is a whole school initiative that will take place in March
  • We are currently sorting and washing a lot of lost property ready for our next sale
  • We are trying to come up with solutions to tackle the food waste at lunchtimes, laminated sheets that only get used once and our reading glasses recycling campaign for Packfords Opticians
  • We had a fantastic visit to the BBC Earth Experience and Wildlife Photograph Competition
