In the school’s first fixture of the spring term, the U11 girl’s football team travelled to St Aubyn’s on Friday. The match was an extremely close contest with Avon House taking the lead thanks to a super strike from Ava of 6JM. St Aubyn’s responded with a goal of their own to equalise as the teams headed into the second half level at 1-1. Chances were created by both teams, but it was St Aubyn’s that got the all-important second goal with a matter of minutes to play. Player of the match, chosen by the opposition, was Eva of 6NH, who was superb in goals as well as outfield.
