As part of their Religious (RPS) topic on Sikhism, Year 5 had the opportunity to visit the Gurdwara Singh Sabha in Barking today. This visit provided an insightful introduction to Sikhism, allowing the children to explore and understand life at the gurdwara.
During their time at the gurdwara, the children learned about key objects and symbols within the Sikh place of worship. They also had the unique experience of visiting the Langar Hall, where they enjoyed their snack while learning about the Sikh tradition of seva (selfless service) and the importance of community meals.
It was a truly valuable and memorable experience that was enjoyed by all!
