In Reception, the exciting learning journey continues for the children that have been in our Foundation One Puffins (Nursery) class and starts for those children that we welcome into Foundation Two (Reception).
The Early Years Foundation Stage is crucial in ensuring that children develop the necessary skills to support them in a successful lifelong learning journey. Part of our ethos is celebrating that every child is unique and deserves the best possible start in life. We know that a secure, safe, caring and happy childhood provides the foundation for children to develop their skills through providing opportunities for them to investigate, develop their resourcefulness, inspire them to be creative, foster their imagination and have a desire to learn.
The mix of child and adult led activities in the classroom and through outdoor learning, develop the child’s emotional, social, creative and physical skills alongside their confidence, self-esteem and independence. We ensure we tailor the learning to each child as an individual and have high expectations of their behaviour and learning.
