Our Fees

We encourage prospective parents to visit the School, meet the staff and see the School in action. This could be either at one of our regular Open Events or by arranging a tour during the school day.

Once you have selected Avon House Preparatory School, we will ask you to complete the registration paperwork.

If you have any queries at any time during the entry process, do not hesitate to contact our Admissions and Marketing Lead, Miss Barrett on 020 8504 1749 (option 3).

School Fees

Our termly fees from September 2023 are:

Early Years: Foundation 1, Foundation 2 £3,800 per term / £11,400 annual
Key Stage 1: Years 1 and 2 £4,200 per term / £12,600 annual
Key Stage 2: Years 3-6 £4,525 per term / £13,575 annual

Fees include lunches, books and stationery. Fees do not include extended hours care, curriculum day trips, residential trips or school uniform.

We offer a 7.5% sibling discount whereby fees for second and subsequent children are discounted (this discount only applies while more than one child is a pupil at Avon House Preparatory School).

We accept childcare vouchers, issued by employers as a way of improving tax efficiency, to offset fees in Foundation 1 as well as for all pupils using Breakfast Club, after school clubs, Tea Timers and Holiday Club childcare.

Payment of Fees

School fee balances should be settled by a pupil’s first day of each term* and must be paid in full by either Direct Debit or Direct Bank Transfer. Parents are reminded there is a contractual relationship with the School in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.

Payment of any extras are due on or before the pupil’s last day of each term.

We prefer parents to pay fees by direct debit. Under the Schools’ direct debit scheme, fees are paid either termly on the first day of term or in 10 monthly payments starting on 1 July and ending on 1 April annually.

Parents with financial difficulties that might lead to failure to pay fees on time are asked to contact the Bursar for a confidential meeting; please be aware that the School is under no obligation to waive or defer any sum due.

Pupils will not be allowed to attend school until any outstanding balances have been settled, except in exceptional circumstances.

If you do not make payment by the due date, we have the right to charge interest to you on the overdue amount at the rate of 3% pa above the base rate of the school’s bank, currently Barclays.

Please note, we do not accept cash payments for school fees.

*New pupils will be advised separately.
