We were delighted to host our annual KS1 Mother’s Day Tea which is a cherished event in the Avon House calendar. It was wonderful to see so many of our families join us for this special celebration.
The afternoon began with a heartwarming assembly led by the children exploring the meaning of Mother’s Day. They also performed a Mother’s Day song, which was followed by a moving group rendition of ‘Mama’ by The Spice Girls. Both Year 1 and Year 2 pupils had prepared thoughtful handmade cards and learnt a special song to honour their mums, grandmothers, and aunts. These were shared at the start of our Mother’s Day Tea, setting the tone for a lovely afternoon of stories, laughter, and connection over scones, biscuits, and tea.
This event is always such a beautiful opportunity to come together and celebrate the incredible women in our pupils’ lives. Avon House wishes everyone a joyful and love-filled Mother’s Day!
