Avon House’s 2025 Soccer Aid event was a scoring success, made even better by the beautiful weather!
Children across the school took part in a range of football-themed events, including high-energy rounds of 3-a-side tournaments and closely contested penalty shoot-outs.
Prep school pupils (Years 4, 5 and 6) were treated to an exciting surprise, which included a special visit from Ruby Mace—a Tottenham Hotspur U21 midfielder—alongside her coach and representatives from the club. They delivered an engaging Q&A session and workshops to the pupils as part of the day’s activities, sharing valuable insights and inspiring young footballers, in particular the girls!
This RRS Council initiative proudly supports Soccer Aid for UNICEF, working towards a shared goal of helping children worldwide enjoy the best possible start in life. Article 31—the right to play—reminding us that all children, no matter where they are born, deserve opportunities to play, grow, and thrive. By taking part in Soccer Aid for UNICEF, our school joined a global team united to protect play for every child—ensuring they can grow up happy, healthy, and ready to shape their future.
A huge thank you to Mr Thornley, Mrs Gleadell, Campioni Soccer Academy and our Year 6 helpers for making this event so memorable—and to all who have supported this important cause!
