Year 2 Educational Visit

Posted: 18th September 2025

What a fantastic trip Year 2 had to the Florence Nightingale museum!

As part of our topic, What’s Your Superpower, Year 2 have been learning about real-life superheroes, including Florence Nightingale. Once at the museum, the children were introduced to ‘Florence Nightingale’, who regaled them with tales about her life as a nurse, including how she became the heroine of the Crimean war, as well as the her lasting legacy in nursing. They were able to see her famous lamp and enjoyed dressing up in various costumes, as well as completing a treasure hunt around the museum to show their understanding of the different stages of her life and her achievements.
