Last Friday was Year 5’s and Year 6’s Inter-House football tournament. All boys and girls of both year groups took part in mixed teams, with an inclusive as well as competitive approach to the tournament. Games were of a good standard with lots of goals being scored as well as the children using their defensive skills well. Each house was represented by two teams, with a total of eight teams playing six ten-minute matches each. Both teams of each house had their points added together to provide a total. The teams with the highest points total of 16 were Cavell 1 and Churchill 2, although Cavell 1 had a superior goal difference, which made them the team winners. The children should be applauded for their footballing skills and sportsmanship shown throughout the tournament.
