On The Move

Posted: 27th May 2023

Young pupils sat in a field

This week, our Foundation 2 (Reception) pupils have been learning about different forms of transport by reading their non-fiction book ‘On The Move.’ They went on a transport hunt around the school where they had a description of what they were looking for and had to find the matching picture. It taught the children about the various forms of transports and lots of interesting facts and then they wrote about their favourite ones.

In Maths, they have been doubling and halving shapes and numbers. The children have found patterns that form as halves and doubles are opposites. They have also been learning about the lifecycles of mini beasts and thought it was very funny that ladybirds are black and yellow before they turn red! In Art, this week, the children finished making their beautiful butterflies.
