This year Churchill raised money through our Holi Colour Fun Run. Our chosen charity, Haven House are known for helping families by providing specialist nursing care and emotional support in a warm and loving environment and when times are tough. There was a real buzz and excitement on Friday the 15th March where parents, staff and the children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the colour run. The joyous occasion was embraced by all. It was pictured on camera with massive smiles from our children, staff and parents. The children loved being covered in Holi powder as they ran around the course, passing each station. Our early years children had fun running through tunnels and their own course. They liked receiving their medals and a cupcake at the end. Churchill wanted to thank The Wells for allowing us to host our event and thank our sponsors (Barretts Law, The Wells and The Traveller’s Friend) for helping to make our event a real success. The finale went down well with traditional Dhol playing led by two of our children in Year 6, followed by their dad. We had a little boogie during the drumming. We raised £1,200! A great amount raised.
