Avon House hosted the ISA London North Regional Art Finals at The Marriott in Waltham Abbey this week. With genres for multiple age groups to enter, including 2D and 3D art, textiles, drawing, fashion and photography, we didn’t envy the independent judges with their decisions. Thank you to independent judges Darren Evans (The Suburban Artist) and Hilary Douse for judging the art work. The standard from every year group was remarkable. Mrs Mistry hosted a workshop for Art Teachers from across the London North regional where they discussed art enrichment in schools and how to encourage and incorporate art across the whole curriculum.
We are thrilled to announce that Avon House placed 1st in the Key Stage 1, 2D Group Art category, 1st in the Key Stag 2, 3D Individual Art category, 1st in the EYFS, Key Stage 1&2 Photography category and we received the Highly Commended award in Key Stage 2 Individual Textiles category. Amazing results – well done to our prize winners!
All winning pieces will be sent to the National Finals, the second stage of the competition which will take place at the ISA Autumn Study Conference on 14-15 November.
