Year 4 enjoyed an unforgettable day at Gilwell Park, packed with fun, adventure and plenty of teamwork. The children took part in a range of exciting team-building activities that challenged their skills, built their confidence and strengthened their friendships.
The day began with grass sledging, where pupils worked together to understand the sledge, develop their fitness and support one another as they raced down the slopes. There was lots of laughter, cheering and determination as they took on this energetic challenge.
Next came aero ball, which quickly became a favourite for many! Children bounced, jumped and scored points across the trampoline court, learning to master speed, timing and accuracy. Hamza proudly said, “I loved the aero ball, I scored the most!” while Xavier shared, “I had a really good time.”
Finally, the children took part in the sensory trail. With their eyes covered, they relied on their other senses and teamwork to complete a series of fun and imaginative activities. This activity helped them develop trust, judgement and cooperation in a completely new way. Victoria summed it up perfectly: “I liked the sensory trail and playing the fun games.”
It was a truly special day, filled with laughter, learning and plenty of memories to treasure. Year 4 returned from Gilwell Park tired but happy, having strengthened not just their skills, but also their bond as a team.
