Pupils that represented sports teams this academic year attended a celebration evening at God’s Own Pizza in Loughton on Monday evening. Wearing their finest clothing to the event, captains of all sports teams wrote and read a report of their team’s season, detailing their journeys and achievements. Awards were given for Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year for each sport, as well as an overall Player of the Year. Eva (6NH) received the latter prize for her many successes, including winning the ISA National Cross Country title for her age group. Eva was also commended for her relentless drive and attitude towards sport as well as being compassionate with teammates. The children (and teachers) enjoyed a tasty pizza and ice-cream at the restaurant where they were treated like royalty by the staff. A superb evening was had by all.
